If you are unable to find a solution using the help documentation and you reach out to me for assistance, I may ask you to enable logging, try a render, and send me the files in the log folder.

These files contain helpful information about the attempted render to help me diagnose and fix the problem.

Enable Log Files

  1. In the Cyclops panel, click the SETTINGS header to open the SETTINGS dropdown.
  2. Check the Enable logging checkbox.

Reveal Log Files

  1. In the Cyclops panel, click the INFORMATION header to open the INFORMATION dropdown.
  2. Click the Reveal Logging File button to open the folder.

Send Log Files

  1. When sending files please send the both the JSON file and the PNG file. The file names should match and should look like 13 random numbers. For example: 1689114903103.json and 1689114903103.png
  2. When sending log files via aescripts+aeplugins you’ll need to compress all files into a ZIP archive as you cannot attach JSON files to messages.

Cyclops will continue to log every render and create log files each time until you disable this setting.
